Hi, The TSI engines have had problems with the chain stretching, which causes a clicking/rattling noise, which is often worse when cold during the early stages. This will eventually cause running issues and an engine MIL light to illuminate. When this happens VW advise the chain, tensioner, and oil feed pipes to the turbocharger to be replaced.
