This thread is archived. You need to come to a complete stop first, then press it again to put it into reverse. Then accelerate to reverse. Options-->Controls-->Transmission-->Simple Automatic gives you simple AWSD forward, backward, left and right if you insist on using keyboard, but mouse steering is way, way better.

1) The trucks don't feel like real trucks and they don't act like real trucks. 40tons of semi trailer does not, I repeat does not, stop anywhere near as quickly as portrayed in this 'sim'. 2) No matter how hard you try.. No matter how reckless you are.. You cannot die in this game.

The fifth wheel(the method the truck and trailer connect) is what makes reversing in a semi so tricky.Becuase of it when you reverse you must turn the wheel(and truck) the opposite direction from the way you want the trailer to turn.
