The Range function on the BC also stopped and the fuel warning light blinked 24/7 even though the tank was full of gas. If you don't rev it over 5000 RPM, you're barely using half of RPM the engine is designed for - no harm in revving it up and going all the way to the rev limiter, ie. just before it, as it likes it!
