Hi, i downloaded the game today (already played episodes 1 2 and 3 on my notebook) but when i try to run it, it crashes. "life is strange.exe has stopped working. If that di'dn't work, look for the \Life Is Strange\_CommonRedist\vcredist folder, and install those manually. And start LiS manually too, from the \Life Is Strange\Binaries\Win32 folder. If there are any errors, you'll see em that way (the Steam UI tends to mask those errors). P.S. And I wouldn't do a repair of the distro: just reinstall it
Every time i go to a new place game crashes and i have to turn the PC of from the case as i only get a black screen , cant do anything, this has happened 2 times now , i have a very high PC so i no its not that please help
After it crashes, double click home button, and I find that it is in "app gallery", just like as if it went to the background. Click it, splash window came again and this time, it launch normally. This very strange. I've got the crash log, but I lost the dSYM file for some reason, so I can't exactly locate the bug. The crash log is just like this: Life is Strange True Colors is an incredibly exciting and immersive game that has captured the hearts of gamers all around the world. However, it can be incredibly frustrating to encounter issues such as crashing, a black screen on startup, or the game simply not loading. If you’re experiencing any of these problems, don’t worry! Originally posted by Intermeder: + Disconnect from the network, start the game, then reconnect after it's reached the title screen. As soon as I reconnect, game crashes with an informative "fatal error" message. Other than that, I so far managed to play through 1st chapter / side A in steam offline mode. Could you try removing all LIS folders (manually) and removing Life is Strange ID from Steam and then re-installing fresh. Make sure you disable Steam Cloud also, Deleated Life is Strange folder from Common folder, then installed the game with Steam cloud disabled, but it didn't work, it just took a bit more time for my Steam avatar to turn00000004 1.83140409 [12916] Either launch the game from Steam, or put the file steam_appid.txt containing the correct appID in your game folder. 00000005 4.12136936 [8248] Game removed: AppID 620980 "Beat Saber", ProcID 12916. 00000006 4.12647104 [8248] No cached sticky mapping in ActivateActionSet.
Okay so this is odd. I had my computer's audio playback Default Device set to my headset (Logitech G35 for reference). The game would not load at all. Immediately crashed upon startup, even for the game's Safe Mode. I switched the playback Default Device to my PC's speakers as I planned to watch a show, then tried loading the game out of curiousity (in safe mode) and it worked. I didn't' thinkWFNT1U.
